The unit for calibration and hulling of seeds is an integral part of the Small Industrial Oil Mill (SIO) based on the Garmet-150 oil press. This set of equipment is an excellent solution to the problem of cleaning sunflower and soybean seeds from impurities, calibrating and hulling them for further processing on an oil press to produce high-quality oil and cake. The unit itself consists of the following list of equipment:

1. Flexible screw GS-76 (length 6 m) with a frequency converter

2. Seed calibrator KBS-500

3. Seed huller (huller) UO-500

4. Belt conveyor TL-1000

5. Belt conveyor TLK-2

6. Dust extractor VP-4

7. Bag holders with fixation and height adjustment

The flexible screw conveyor GS-76 with a length of 6 m and the ability to adjust the speed of the spiral using a frequency converter is an economical, reliable and convenient tool for loading raw materials into the KBS-500 calibrator from a pile of raw materials. To save the driver's time and truck downtime, we recommend storing the raw material in bulk, from where it can be easily fed to the calibrator for further cleaning thanks to the flexible speed-controlled auger. If the raw material is stored in a container and it is possible to feed it with a forklift, the flexible auger GS can be equipped with a hopper with a volume of 140 to 2500 liters.

The KBS-500 seed calibrator is a simple and reliable equipment for cleaning raw materials from a large number of impurities that arise when harvesting seeds from the field, namely: stones, earth, sand, stems, metal elements, dust, etc. and its subsequent high-quality sieving. Also, thanks to the most correct selection of sieves on the calibrator, you will be able to calibrate larger seeds, which will be advisable to use as seed, or sell at higher prices than heterogeneous seeds of smaller size.

The TL-1000 belt conveyor with a length of 3 meters is the most convenient and economical solution for automated and continuous transportation of raw materials after the calibrator to the huller (huller), since the design of the latter provides for the filling of material at a height of about 1.8 m. Also, the belt conveyor is additionally equipped with a special hopper, which allows you to feed the raw material into the huller hopper and avoid spillage of material around.

The OU-500 seed huller (huller) performs the function of hulling (hulling) sunflower and soybean seeds for their further separation into fractions, additional cleaning with a sieve under reciprocating oscillations and separation of the husk by creating an air flow with the VP-4 hood.

Dust extractor VP-4 consists of a set of filter bags and material collection bags. Thanks to a powerful fan and a corrugated pipe system, the hood removes debris and husks from the calibrator and the stump and thus reduces the dust content of the room through the filter bags. After filling the bags with garbage and husks, we recommend that the material be further pelletized to obtain not garbage but more profitable sunflower fuel pellets, which can be sold at higher market prices.

The TLC-2 belt conveyor lifts and transports the already cleaned and hulled seeds to the next equipment of the production line. In a small industrial oil mill, such equipment is the Garmet-150 oil press.

Bag holders with height fixation help to conveniently and quickly fix the bags for collecting larger seeds and separately large fractions of debris (usually stems of foreign crops).



In general, the calibration and dehulling unit performs an important function as part of the technological line of oil mills, allowing to remove abrasive debris from seeds and husk, which significantly increases the percentage of oil yield, extends the service life of the oil press units and increases the percentage of protein in the cake.
